Wireless Projectors
Wireless projectors allow you to display the data and video on your computer, tablet or receiver without running a single wire. (Well, you do have to plug the projector in.) Now you can project documents, presentation and video in real time from a source as far as 100 feet away.
How these projectors receive the information varies. Some wireless projectors include a built-in wireless card. Others require an optional accessory, like a USB dongle. Some projectors use an app installed in your smartphone or tablet to display presentations and documents stored on your mobile device. Others work with your existing Wi-Fi network.
Wireless Projectors FAQ
This is still a new technology and there are no existing protocols. Every wireless projector is different. Your best bet is to call us at 1-888-248-0675 with specific questions about your setup and presenting needs.
That said, here are some of the most common questions we’re asked by customers.
Are There Wireless Projectors for Home Theater?
You bet! Check out the Epson HC5030 UBE and the Epson Home Cinema 3600e.
Can I add wireless capabilities to my current non-wireless projector?
Yes, but you will need a wireless adapter. These range in price from $50 to $1,200. The less expensive ones generally work by tapping into existing networks (like Wi-fi). You will usually have to download software to your laptop to use these.
The more expensive IOGear devices include two boxes that allow you to stream HD video wirelessly between your projector and receiver. They do not include any software.
Again, call us so we can help you find the perfect wireless accessory for your projector brand and presenting setup.

There are, though the wireless functionality is often limited to simple image or document viewing so don't expect to be streaming Netflix or Hulu to the screen from your phone. Search the Android Market or Apple's App Store for wireless apps from the following manufacturers: Panasonic, NEC, Hitachi, Viewsonic, BenQ, Christie and Epson.
See the Panasonic app in action.
